What is Mongrel Logic?
Mongrel Logic is a sustainable streetwear and worldbuilding project.
Through original artwork, stories and clothing, we're building an evolving universe called The Canis.
What is The Canis?
The Canis is the world behind Mongrel Logic.
It's home to the characters, creatures, artifacts and stories that appear across our clothing, artwork and writing.
Why is it an ARG?
ARG stands for Alternate Reality Game. Rather than telling a story in one place, hidden throughout our website, social channels, clothing, artwork and blog.
You can simply wear the clothing or choose to explore the world beneath it.
By making garments meaningful, we hope returning and recycling them becomes part of the experience.
Do I have to "play"?
No.
You can simply enjoy the artwork or wear the clothing. If you choose to look deeper, you'll discover an evolving world throughout the site.
When it's reached the end of its journey, we'd love you to send it back so it can become something new.

What is The Pavement Special?
The Pavement Special (TPS) is our workshop journal.
It's where I share the thinking, experiments and progress behind Mongrel Logic as it's built in public.
What is The Vault?
The Vault is where we release limited editions.
Early access is currently available through our mailing list. Limited Editions are in development.
Why are your clothes circular?
Circular fashion keeps materials in use for longer by designing clothing to be reused and recycled rather than discarded. It designs waste out of the system; an approach increasingly reflected in emerging regulations around the world.
Why do you use Teemill?
We chose Teemill because circularity is built in. Their manufacturing platform allows us to produce garments responsibly while supporting a circular future for clothing. Recognised with The King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Our clothing is produced and fulfilled through Teemill. When you choose to purchase an artifact you'll be redirected to our shop, where payment, manufacturing, delivery and customer support are handled.
What is Remill?
Remill is the fibre recycling partner behind our circular system. By recovering cotton fibres from returned garments and turning them back into usable material.
Remill helps keep valuable resources in circulation instead of becoming waste.
What is sustainable streetwear?
Sustainable streetwear combines contemporary clothing with more responsible materials and manufacturing.
At Mongrel Logic, sustainability goes beyond fabric choices by combining organic materials, circular design, original artwork and worldbuilding into garments designed to be worn, returned and made again.
Why don’t you have Mongrel Logic labels on your clothing?
Instead of a branded neck label, every garment includes a QR care label that makes return and recycling possible.
Simply scan the code to return your garment, earn store credit and help keep materials in circulation. We even accept garments from other brands.
What are your clothes made from?
Our garments are made using GOTS certified 100% organic cotton. Conventional cotton is one of the most chemically‑intensive crops on the planet
Why use organic cotton?
Organic cotton recycles cleanly.
There are no chemical residues, mixed fibres or synthetic contaminants baked into the material, making it far better suited to fibre-to-fibre recycling.
Why don't you keep stock?
We only make garments when they're ordered. That means no warehouses full of unsold clothing, less waste and the freedom to keep building new ideas instead of clearing old inventory.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes.
We ship to most countries worldwide. You can view the full list of countries we can ship to here.
If your country isn't showing in the list, sadly, we cannot ship to this location.
How should my garment fit?
Our garments fit true to size. The size guide is available during selection. If you prefer more room, order one size up.
We’re fans of oversized.
Can I return an artifact?
Absolutely. If something isn't right, we'll help make it right. Full details can be found here.
What is a Mongrel?
'Mongrel' is an affectionate South African term for a mixed-breed dog.
Growing up, it represented resilience, adaptability and never quite fitting into one box, qualities that still define Mongrel Logic today.
What is a pavement special?
Another affectionate South African term for a mixed-breed dog.
Like Mongrel Logic itself, it celebrates resourcefulness, individuality and finding value where others might not think to look.
